Dr Andreea Mârza

Dr Andreea Mârza studied Classics, and obtained a PhD in medieval history from the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj.

She is currently a lecturer in Latin at the Faculty of Greek-Catholic Theology.

Research interests and publications

Andreea Mârza is a Latinist and historian interested in the early-modern cultural life of Transylvania. She is the author of books on Enea Silvio Piccolomini and the Late Crusade, and on the Transylvanian librarian Imre Dániel.

Andreea has done extensive research in libraries and archives from Romania, Slovakia and Italy.

She contributed to two CODEX publications: the Codicological Vocabulary in Romanian, and the Census of Western Medieval Manuscripts in Romania:
