
Dr Cristian Ispir received his PhD from King’s College London for a critical edition of a Latin medieval chronicle.
He is an associate fellow of the Centre de Recherche Universitaire Lorrain d’Histoire.
Projects in Manuscript Studies
In 2015-2017, Cristian Ispir was a member of a CODEX project on the history of the book in medieval Transylvania (Producția și utilizarea cărții în Transilvania înainte de Reformă: manuscrise, incunabule, inventare medievale și surse indirecte; Funder: UEFISCDI, PN-II-RU-TE-2014-4-1795).
From 2017, he worked as Cataloguer and Researcher at the British Library for The Polonsky Foundation England and France Project.
Since 2019, he has been involved in a project at the British Library which seeks to update the catalogue of the Harley manuscripts. Check out his article about medieval calendars (co-authored with Kathleen Doyle).
