Dr Cristian Mladin is the head librarian of the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia.
He obtained his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Bucharest.
Research interests and publications
Dr Cristian Mladin is currently the curator of special collections at the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia, the richest depository of Western medieval manuscripts in Romania.
Dr Mladin’s recent publications focus on Antal Mártonfi’s Initia astronomica speculae Batthyanianae Albensis in Transylvania, and on the decoration and organisation of Ignatius Batthyany’s library and observatory.
