Dr Doina Hendre Biro obtained her PhD from the Sorbonne, with a dissertation on the Batthyany family.
Until her recent retirement, she directed the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia.

Dr Hendre Biro directed until recently the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia, and was curator of the Library’s permanent exhibition. She has published extensively on the history of the library, and of its founder.
