With financing from the Romanian Ministry of Education (CNCS – UEFISCDI, project PN-IV-P1-PCE-2023-0465), CODEX has acquired a digitisation device developed by engineer Manfred Mayer at the University of Graz.
The Traveller’s Conservation Copy Stand TCCS4232 is a revolutionary device, which allows one to acquire high quality digital photos at perfect conservation standards. We are using the TCCS in conjunction with a Canon R7 camera.
For now, we are digitising items from the Academy Library in Cluj which are relevant to our project, “Medieval Books in the Early Modern Period: The Case of Cluj in the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries”.
