10 September: Exhibition Opening at the Academy Library in Cluj

On 10 September, we are opening an exhibition of medieval manuscripts, manuscript fragments, and incunabula at the Academy Library in Cluj.

The exhibition, entitled “Medieval Books in the Early Modern Period: Destruction, Conservation, Recycling”, is part of our current research project “Medieval Books in the Early Modern Period: The Case of Cluj in the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries”, PN-IV-P1-PCE-2023-0465.

The exhibition will be presented by its curator, Prof. Adrian Papahagi, and by Revd Prof. Ioan Chirilă, director of the Academy Library.
