On 10 September, we opened an exhibition of medieval manuscripts, manuscript fragments, and incunabula at the Academy Library in Cluj.
The exhibition, entitled “Medieval Books in the Early Modern Period: Destruction, Conservation, Recycling”, is part of our current research project “Medieval Books in the Early Modern Period: The Case of Cluj in the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries”, PN-IV-P1-PCE-2023-0465.
The exhibition was presented by its curator, Prof. Adrian Papahagi, and by Revd Prof. Ioan Chirilă, director of the Academy Library.
